Autopilot? Wife and I routinely put around 7,000~8,000 miles on our EV (MY) a year. Without the Tesla Supercharger network we couldn't do that (did 2,700 miles in a Bolt, Cape Cod to AZ. Never again...).if you drive locally, charge at home, and don't care about Tesla technology get Hyundai.
If you take occasional long trips and use even basic Autopilot there is no comparison to Tesla.
Until you run into already reported huge ADM from those "wonderful" dealers....I have a feeling that once we have our MYLR, we may be wanting a second EV and the value of an IONIQ5 with a $7,500 tax credit might be too good to pass up...
Looking myself and like that ultimate package we have here for 5k cnd…worth it.Starting to see quite a few on the road here in Canada. Nice looking car and good reviews. Cheaper, more options and similar real world range and as fast if not faster than the Y so no slouch either. Biggest asset is the suspension is apparently a heck of a lot better than the Y according to the reviews so far.
Depends on which trimDid they add a BTMS (Battery Thermal Management System) to the US models? For the Kona EV, the Canadian version had a BTMS but the US version did not. We should have learned from the 1st gen Nissan Leaf, never to even think about an EV without a BTMS.
Not really, they're both compact SUV's. Ground clearance is only one dimension.6.1" ground clearance it competes more with a model 3.. I have 9" on my Y with the $500 lift kit and bigger tires
Yeah exactly.. the model 3 is 185 x 73 .. closer to the dimensions of the 3 than the Y (still even shorter than a 3)Not really, they're both compact SUV's. Ground clearance is only one dimension.

As an aside, the longer wheelbase and better sorted suspension likely accrue to the smoother ride many reviewers have noted.
