Bluetooth Handsfree is not is not working on both of my cars with the iPhone 6.

Found a fix.
Switch off "Sync Contacts" in the car's Bluetooth profile on the iPhone. Try to make a call. If it works, switch back on "Sync Contacts" and everything should work fine now.

This only works when its charging.

Is there a button combo on the steering wheel or similar was what I was asking

I don't see that as an issue, I have an apple charging cord plugged into one of my USB ports, and usually plugged into the iPhone.
My iPhone is mounted on my vent, and I'm usually running Waze on it...

There is no button on the steering wheel, but if you plug in your phone to the USB port and say "Hey Siri" she responds and you can ask her to play whatever music is on your phone, thus a workaround for the lack of iPod integration.

I'm having the same issue, I'll give this a try.

Does this work when connected to Bluetooth?

I couldn't get it to work.

I have a Bluetooth 'Home button' on my visor that sort of works.

Yes, surprisingly it works with the phone connected via Bluetooth even if the media player is set to something other than the bluetooth. I did have to reboot my phone for it to work though.

My iPhone 6 is still not working with my Tesla. Bluetooth music and other audio works fine, but voice calls cannot be initiated from the tesla. Calls that do come in disconnect from every 30-40 seconds. I can go in and set audio back to the Tesla, but it drops again after another 30-40 seconds.

So far I've:
Removed and paired phone multiple times and before/after all the steps below.
Rebooted driver console, center console, and phone.
Disabled contact sync and tested a call, then reenabled.
Reset iPhone network settings.
Erased phone and tested without restoring backup.
Restored device (reflashed iOS 8) and tested before and after restoring backup.
Had Apple replace my iphone with a new one, all with the same results. What am I missing?
