iphone always asking if I want to allow access to photos

Okay, so I am using a regular lightning cable connected to front USB port (not the Tesla included one because they ran out and will get me some in the future). Every time I plug it into the phone to charge, it will ask to allow access to photos and stuff. Is this due to the cable I'm using?

That's a weird one. I've connected ny phone with several cords, and never gotten that. Do you have another one you can try? I suspect the one you have may have something wrong with it.

I used this in an older car, but it was connected to a 12V charger. I'll try a different cord. Could be because phone is on old 9.x OS, since the phone key doesn't work on this version apparently.
