There is (was?) an issue with the car disappearing (and then later re-appearing) in the account between 48-72 hours after delivery, so you are technically in that window, but I would still call Tesla with your VIN and make sure it is tied to the account in their system. Once they do this, I think your app will work normally.

Call what number?

On your tesla.com account does the car show as owned, or still awaiting delivery?

I got my car Sunday and mine still shows awaiting delivery- until the Tesla back end knows you have the car you're out of luck.

My delivery was last Friday, and the delivery specialist (home delivery) told me that it would take 2-3 days for the app to sync with my car. Fortunately, a friend who already has his 3 told me that during his delivery the specialist turned on remote access on the car UI.

I believe it was under Safety and Security, then click the gear icon in the right corner to click the radio button next to "allow remote access". After that my phone app sync'd up.

Apples and turnips.

Remote access needs to be on- but the car also has to be set to "delivered" by Tesla in their system.

My car was delivered Sunday, with remote access already enabled.

But it still hasn't been changed to delivered on tesla.com, so no phone access.

This process worked for me as well.
