iPhone Interference with Radio

We took our first road trip this weekend with the Model S, and it was fantastic.

We did experience one minor hiccup. While cruising along listening to Slacker, my wife decided to do an internet search on her iPhone. As soon as she started, the radio paused and her iPhone appeared on the right side of the speedometer display as if she was making a call. I tried to end the call with the right scroll wheel to no avail. She finally had to turn off Bluetooth on her iPhone to release the radio and continue the internet search on here iPhone.

What caused it and how do you fix it, short of turning off Bluetooth?

It wasn't trying to make a phone call. If she has allowed the google app (assume that is what she was using for search) access to the phone's mic, it will attach to the car via bluetooth so you can speak your search command. This happens every time you launch the google app. You would need to prevent the app from accessing the phone's mic to stop the car from connecting each time. Settings/Google/Microphone in iOS.

Wow. Thanks very much.
