And Mercedes-Benz parent company Daimler has taken a stake in Tesla and plans to use its electric-drive technology in its Smart and A and B Class models, which will go on sale from about 2012.

The mention of B Class probably explains why that E-cell was outside of HQ, but is this the first mention of all 3 small Mercedes vehicles in one go?

BTW, I still think the E-cell is a "badge engineered" Bluestar (or vice-versa).
