Iron remover for paint

Has anyone used iron remover on their MS paint? I just got a decontamination kit that includes iron remover. Advice please.

Yes, it's awesome stuff if you like to detail your car. It will remove any wax you have on now, so be ready to re wax when done.

I used some purple iron remover some time ago. Seemed to work great, but smelled horrible. Threw the rest of the bottle away.

I used it after clay bar on white MS. Amazing how much iron was still embedded. Worked great. Need to wax or ceramic after use.

Basically anything with thioglycolic acid and citric acid will work equally fine, regardless of brand or designation (like for wheels or for body)
It's a simple chemical process.

Shortly after delivery, I discovered thousands of iron spots on my M3 SR+, mostly on the trunk lid and the partly horizontal parts of the rear quarter panels. Locally, I could find only Meguiar’s Iron Removing Spray Clay. It worked reasonably well. Attached photos show the stains and the reaction on my first treatment. It took several treatments and light action with a wet wash mitt to get most of it. I bought some Iron X to use the next time I wash. A couple years ago I had a similar issue with a white Toyota. I hired a detailer who used a similar product.
