Is 6 miles of battery degradation acceptable on 6k miles?

I have the same issue and started I will say 2 months ago. My 90% charge get me 212 (used to be 214~216) and I just tried last night at 100% and I got 236 on the phone (when it was completed), but this morning on the app said 234, then when I want to the car and it reads 235.

My Model 3 have 5.900 miles and is 7 months old, my advice, don't worry at the battery degradation, 2~3% is nothing, keep in mind you will get those miles back when we get the upcoming update :).

My SR+ is 5200 miles at 7 months old and behaves almost identically to yours. I charged to 100% the other day and it showed 236-237. I have also noticed when it's colder out the range shows a mile or two lower then it would if it was warm out.

I'm not worried about this as it's within margin of error of the BMS.

SR+ 10,300 miles @ 230 wh/mi still shows 215 miles at 90% & 240 miles at 100% for what it’s worth, I never drive it hard and maybe it’s the nice “EV” San Diego weather not too hot or too cold. Will look for a weigh station and see if any lower weight if any might help it.

Just got my SR+ and at 1,600 miles @ 212 wh/mi it shows 185 miles charging to 80%.

Pictures required for this one. That's pretty unexpected for a car with that low a mileage. What was the build date?

You'd need two pictures in quick succession showing distance display (miles or km), followed by energy display mode (%). Or a screenshot from an app that shows % and rated miles simultaneously.

It's possible it's not actually at 80% when it shows 185 miles, is what I am saying. (That would extrapolate to be 231rmi @100%) Maybe it is 79%, or maybe even 78%. Unlikely but possible.

If you mean the manufacturd date it says 08/19 on sdorr sticker

I have attached a few pictures. Haven't charged to 80% yet tonight but I thought I would show you what I am seeing

Interesting on such a new vehicle. These numbers are all over the place! Definitely looks like around 230 @ 100%. You can try charging to that level (once) just to see, but my guess is that's what you'll see.

Maybe with the next update to range all this craziness will resolve.

I haven't charged to 100% yet. Was thinking about doing it soon. Do you think that might would change it?

Yes you need to recalibrate that battery, same issue a YouTube had, his charging methods was 50% - 80% daily and never at 100% so his battery’s memory was changing to a lower setting. He did the 3 deep cycle basically 10% to 100% three times to get his miles back to normal. I charge to 90% every night and once a month to 100% and as you can see below I’m still good. March 2019 build at over 10k miles

And, I have only once charged to 100%, by accident, and initially charged to 90%, last Winter, and saw alot of variance in my rated range from as low as 290miles to 312miles; and when Spring hit, I switched to charging only up to 80%, and my rated range tightened up and increased varying from 306 to 314miles. YMMV.

So does everyone agree I show probably do the 3 deep charges of 10 to 100% and see if that fixes it?
