Is car to car charging possible?

I was just noticing an ICE driver giving another ICE driver a jump start. It got me thinking. Would it be possible to charge one model S from another model S? This would be a rare situation but if you were almost out of charge and needed a few extra miles to get to the nearest supercharger, would it be possible to charge your battery from another Tesla? I assume it would require a special adapter and then the receiving car would use its onboard charger to do the work.

Anyone know if this is possible?

Currently there's no way to pull power out of the car's battery with a cable and I don't see tesla ever doing this. The cable would need to be able to regulate power which would be a fairly complicated cable adaptor

A Model X could charge a Model S/X/3 by pulling it and using regen.

Eh, they're always flirting with the concept:

Also, as the article notes, you could always hook an inverter up to your 12V. The 12V is charged from the main pack. Your guess as to how much power is safe to draw for long periods, however.
