Seems like lots of ppl like 45 psi for their tire for the best range. How much for winter tires? Do you guys like 45 psi for the best winter battery range?
Depends a bit on the tires, but 45 is the best number in all seasons. That usually means adding air in the late part of Fall and letting some out in the Spring.
What does it say on your door sticker? If you are running the same load rated tires what the sticker says (43 or 45) is the best. Why do People think the Tesla’s run high PSI for less rolling resistance? It really is due to the fact that they are HEAVY. Tire pressure is based on load tables that take into consideration tire size, tire construction, and vehicle weight. It’s not just do I want a softer/firmer feel. Here is a summary of how it’s done if you would like to be informed. https://www.toyotires.com/media/2125/application_of_load_inflation_tables_20170203.pdf
Tire pressure will impact range and wear and of course handling. FWIW I've had reasonable wear on my OEM 19s at 45psi (set cold) year round. Just replaced the 2 rear tires @27k which is OK I guess for OEM tires with minor track use. Front tires have a ways to go yet (yes I did rotate them but only 2 times in life of car)
