Fremont factory is close to me here in California, but if there are others like me in New York I would imagine someone would be happy to show off their car to your son. I enjoy letting people drive my Tesla (if they're licensed) and I give rides to anyone who wants. I love watching reactions to the power and speed and quiet I enjoy every day.

As far as I know, Tesla allows factory tours here, but I would call ahead to make sure. They might have specific times, etc. they do this. I do not know about any tours in New York.
