Is it ok for other makes to use a Tesla supercharger?

So how does this work? Saw it yesterday at Whangarei. I thought the SC communicated with the car. Does Tesla open up its superchargers to other cars in NZ? And how does that owner pay or are we subsidising them? Or maybe the owner saw the EV charging sign on the side of the road and thought it was ok and free and for some reason it is?

They're not open to non-Tesla vehicles in NZ. Most likely a douche using it as a parking space.

Yep afik unless its tesla testing something they are just using it as a parking space

They were plugged into the CCS cable. Couldn't tell if they were charging but assumed they were. No real reason they needed the parking space as it was Sunday and there are hundreds of free spaces around it.

Plugging it in is easy, actually charging isnt, probably some display that shows (I know the eniro has lights on the top of the dash).

Its unlikely this was actually charging unless its a test vehicle
