Is it ok to let the UMC hang on the outlet ?

Might as well add mine to the list. Hooks were purchased at Home Depot.
Have been in use for over two years now.

+1 for hooks from home depot. here's a pic, i wanted to keep it as neat as possible. total cost: maybe $12. (the foam padding is there to protect the doors / walls).

FWIW, here's my set-up using a hose reel and a bungee cord to carry the weight of the UMC and cable. It also helps to have a 14-50 outlet with a cover since the cover vectors some of the upward bungee force into forward pressure between plug and outlet. There may still be some weight acting on the UMC and immediately adjacent cable, but it is acting in a straight line instead of curves and angles. No problems since 7/13.

My UMC's been hanging on the outlet for almost 2 years. No issues. Just make sure the plug is fully inserted into the outlet and you should be fine.
