Is it possible for the rear drive unit to be damaged after getting rear ended?

I was rear ended in August. Got my car back Last month and now have three warning lights. Tesla ran remote status and says it could be rear drive unit issue. Is it possible that the accident could have caused this? Collision center had to replace the frame.

You don't indicate, but it is likley your rear drive unit is covered by the 8 year new vehicle warranty, unless the damage was caused by a vehicle accident. You probably don't want to go there unless required if it is still under warranty..

Lots of unknowns. Year and model? What warning lights? Does the car go into D or R? Drive normally? Able to get alerts msgs in service mode? Was car in shop for 3 mo during repair? Replaced "frame" means rear subframe?

Anyhow, Tesla remote diag probably saw drive unit related errors. Info above could yield some hints on severity but will require diagnostic effort.
