Is it possible to remove and later re-install the rear facing seats?

I've read lots of threads discussing adding the rear-facing seats to cars that didn't have them, but I'd like to know the opposite: Is it possible to remove and then later re-install the rear-facing seats? I bought a CPO P85+ and would rather have the storage, but might want the seats back later for little passengers or at some point in the currently inconceivable future when selling the car.

My search attempts turned up this post: Rear jump seats

The poster said removal was easy, but re-install was thwarted by the bolt not re-engaging. So I'm nervous to try it.

Does anyone have solid info on this? Thanks.

At least on the earlier jump seats, there were nuts that would drop down when the bolts were unscrewed. It was unclear if those nuts could be retrieved easily, but the service centers could pretty easily put new ones in so the point was moot. They would be the only ones I would trust to reinstall though.
