Is it safe to update the OS on Tesla while waiting for FSD beta que?

I am on 36.1 and there is 36.6 available should I update or does that decrease my chances of getting the FSD beta because Beta is behind in features etc.?

10.69.2.4 is the latest and that runs on 2022.20

10.69.3 is supposed to be a major upgrade and will run on 2022.36

If you haven't received the beta yet I think your safe to update to 2022.36 since that is what the next major release will run on.

Go for it! You're already on 2022.36.1, and updating to 2022.36.6 will get you some nice new features while still keeping you behind the upcoming FSDb version. If you get pushed 2022.40.x, I'd recommend not installing that, as it is beyond the FSDb version.
