Is it safe to view solar eclipse through sunroof?

    Is it safe to view the solar eclipse through the Model S sunroof?

    It is not. Unless you have proper eyewear, it's not worth the risk to look through anything at the eclipse.

    The pano roof lets in about 2% of visible light. Approved eclipse glasses let in 0.003 percent. So that's about 600 times more light than recommended.
