Is my "home delivery specialist" legit?

I have received an e-mail from a Grant Davis (who identified himself as a Tesla home delivery specialist), saying that my Model 3 has been built. I will be taking home delivery, since the closest Oregon delivery point is 350 miles away. I cannot go to a (closer) California delivery center without having to pay California sales tax, which would be stupid, since I live in Oregon. The e-mail from Mr. Davis stated that cashier's checks to cover the sales price should be sent to him at his address (7180 Pollock Drive, Las Vegas). His address? No company name?? Las Vegas???? It all sounds so bogus. I think I should ask Tesla whether the dude is a real person or a scammer, but the last time I asked Tesla something on the web site, I never got a response. In the guy's favor, the Google satellite view of that address shows what looks like an office complex, rather than his house and backyard swimming pool, but still.... I haven't yet gotten any more detailed instructions about how the check should be made out, which also sounds strange, since I confirmed details of my purchase about 30 hours ago. Any suggestions? 1.) Did his email address end at Tesla.Com?
2.) Does he know the exact details of the vehicle, have access to the motor vehicle purchase agreement and know what the amounts are?
3.) 7180 Pollock Drive is Tesla's address in Las Vegas. My Inside Sales person has that address in her signature.
4.) I'd call his number back and see if you hit any Tesla like voice recordings.
5.) You can write [email protected] and also see if you can get a confirmation as they would also have all the details of your vehicle.
6.) I'll be curious on what he wants the check made out to. Hope its Tesla Motors Inc.

You could also just do a bank transfer online via your Tesla account. I just took delivery yesterday in Portland from a delivery specialist and I made the payment online via bank transfer with my routing and account numbers -- it was a piece of cake and I never had to worry about a check being lost / stolen / misused. The whole process was seamless.

Northeastern Oregon here, and I received the same email from Grant last week. Note that in the delivery guide that was attached to the email, he/they encourage that we take delivery at the Portland Service Center due to a home delivery requiring coordination with a third-party vendor, which adds additional days before we receive our vehicle.

He did provide me with my VIN, and responded today via email about a question that I had about when the final contract may be ready.

With the information provided in the email, attached documents, contact information provided, etc., I have no concerns.

The guy is probably legit, but I would still not make a payment without having seen the car first, simply because you'd lose all leverage in case the car has significant paint flaws or similar. It should be possible to hand over a cashiers check when the car is delivered.

I needed to get my financing in place, which I have done, but now I feel like he's ghosting me. No VIN, no responses to emails or calls from the bank loan manager. What was your timeline for delivery in Cruces? I'm in SF, and am hoping being on I25 it might be quick.

No contact from Tesla. Delivery by end of September. Home delivery, obviously. Very excited to hear about the perfect delivery in Las Cruces, hoping for the same. Good luck everyone!

I don't see anyone else having mentioned it so I'll put this info up here, for future people that experience this; That Las Vegas location is the same physical address used by my Inside Sales Advisor that has been handling my paperwork, and also where my bank sent the cheque that they drafted for the loan. He made things change on my Tesla account page (set it to a specific time and date for the delivery appointment) so I'm feeling fairly confident. Also, our loan officer has handled TX new Tesla purchases before and didn't freak out with these same mailing instructions. (except Attention to Gilor, not Grant)

Mine was called an "Inside Delivery Advisor" - but same thing - out of Las Vegas with a 702 area code. I confirmed the information, told him I wanted to add FSD but didn't want to push back delivery date, so I was hoping he could take care of it. He said no problem, it would just be the $3k extra (i.e. no $500 change fee), and within a few days, I got the confirmation email from Tesla that my configuration had changed to add FSD. And then a few days later, he called me to schedule delivery, and I now have my Model 3 sitting safely in my garage.
