Is now the time for Apple to buy/partner with Tesla?

I'm talking post-Model 3 rollout for sure, late 2018-ish. Once Model 3 is a success, what groundbreaking work needs to be done? None really.

Sell high, let Elon move on to SpaceX, push the Gigafactory operation to SolarCity(TeslaEnergy) and call it a day. Onward and upward!

So, after a successful Model 3 rollout, why would Tesla need any money or advice or anything else from Apple?

By the time the Model 3 has fully rolled out, why would they even need to sell to Apple at all? Tesla only really needs to sell when they are in a cash crunch, but by the time Model 3 has rolled out (and they are collecting revenue from sale rather than just deposits), they would be past that (plus it would give the stock market confidence already).
