Scheduled charging is another one of those features which I won't be using. The time-of-day plan here charges a higher rate during the middle hours than I would pay without tod. I ran the numbers, assuming a 40 mile charge (10-12kwh) weekday nights during off hours, and the overall bill went up. My water heater and clothes dryer are both electric and part of the house has a heatpump. I'm not prepared to get up in the middle of the night to run my dryer or dishwasher, and that's the only way I could make TOD pay off.
