Is Tesla's own paint repair kit the best one to buy to repair paint chips for white model 3?

Is Tesla's own paint repair kit the best one to buy to repair paint chips for white model 3? Or are there cheaper and better options out there? I find Tesla's own kit is a bit over price and not sure about the result. Thank you.

Its the blending fluid that turns it a different color. I have the kit for blue and it also turns the blue grey if you follow the instructions and use the blending fluid.

I just don't use the fluid and it matches. I'd buy a different brand if I could do it again though.

Yea they show you wiping over it in the video and the blending fluid makes it magically blend. In real life it turns it grey. I use the blending fluid to remove mistakes and extra but avoid touching the spot you want to keep.

I just ordered Dr Colorchip for our solid black model 3. Haven’t tried it yet.

I'm a little embarrassed to say that I had my car wash guy do it, so I cannot say for sure.

Maybe he didn't shake the bottle of paint before starting?? That is so horribly off it's hard to believe as someone that has used Dr Colorchip on half a dozen of my cars over the years.

I have never had the blending solution (although I think it's more accurate to call it an erasing solution because it erases the excess paint that you would normally have to sand and buff) turn the paint a different color.
