Is the 100D the same as Long Range?

Question for you....from a documentation standpoint, is the 100D the same as Long Range.

Hear me out: looking at an Inventory car. The spec sheet says "Long Range" and it says that online, but the car itself and the sticker are 100D.

I know they have the same range, but should they be documented the same?

Prior to the recent naming convention changes in February of this year, 100D was the name of the trim of the Model X which had the 295 mile range 100kWh battery pack (note: not truly 100kWh, but that's what they're calling it) without the performance motor.

In February they renamed it to "Long Range" to better match how they had Model 3 trims. From February to May, the "Long Range" term was still the same trim with the 100kWh battery pack without the performance motor. Still 295 miles range. They even kept using the 100D badging.

However, starting in May, "Long Range" cars being produced have with the new "Raven" refresh with new front motor for increased range (325 miles instead of 295 miles) and new revision E battery pack that supports 200kW Supercharging on V3 Superchargers.

To answer your question, 100kWh non-performance Model X inventory cars produced before May are all the same whether designated 100D or Long Range.
