Is the Neurio Product needed in battery installs?

Been reading some comments about the Neruio product. I just finished my Powerwall install with solar edge inverters. Should the neurio product
be installed? If so why, and if not, why not?

You will have the monitoring you want (that tesla provides) with your powerwall install. The tesla energy gateway provides the monitoring in powerwall installs.

I see it. But why does it seem Tesla is installing with their inverters?

probably because an inverter install doesnt have to have a powerwall install.

I went with a Solar only install and got a new Tesla Inverter. The Tech explained to me that the inverter monitors production and the Neurio (at least for a Solar Only setup) is located in the breaker panel box and will monitor consumption and report it to the inverter. Not sure where the Powerwall fits in to all of that unfortunately.
