Is there a way to add apps to the Multimedia Touch screen? I have a 2013 P85 and would like to see the tire pressure on the odometer screen when scrolling.
currently I have 2 apps......navigation and calendar. Doesn't make much sense not to be able to add apps, something Tesla is lacking I guess. Maybe they should have a Tesla App store.

That is already an available option on vehicles with the newer TPMS system. If you really want it just call your local service center and ask to get the upgrade done. Not free of course but it can be done.

I think they're afraid someone will write a media or phone integration app fixing the issues and lack of features the built in options have. I mean, what's next? A Spotify app? In the US?! We can't have that craziness... Not in our state of the art people moving machines.

I'm sure that was the original intention. Then Tesla split from Mobileye and they've had to dedicate all available (and more) software resource to making AP work.
