Is this plug safe? [Adapter replaced by vendor]

I'm curious how this is wired to mobile connector. Do you just connect two hots and ignore the third?
The Gen 2 adapters have two wires for power and one for ground. There are also two signal wires which are connected to a microchip that's embedded in the plug. The microchip tells the Mobile Connector how many amps to pull and also performs thermal monitoring of the plug. If the plug gets too hot, it will tell the Mobile Connector to reduce current. The Mobile Connector is a single-phase device, so when using a 3-phase plug such as this, we simply connect to two hots and ignore the third, as you suspected. It's always important to be familiar with the specific plug and the types of circuits they're used on though, because there are 3-phase configurations that can exceed the Mobile Connector's voltage rating. Also with some plugs you can get, for instance, 120V between terminals A-B and 208V between terminals A-C. In that example, it's best to connect to terminals A-C to get maximum power.
