Some people will tell you that PPF and ceramic coatings are a "waste of money". The truth is its all in what you value.

Some people don't really care about the fine details and look of their vehicle and that's OK. They want to run their vehicle through a car wash several times a week. Most people equate "shiny and clean" to "cared for" when that couldn't be further from the truth. Let's get into some facts surrounding care options for your Tesla in Bethlehem and Allentown PA.

Q: Does the car wash really damage my car?
A: YES! Tesla paint is known for being soft - that means it scratches easily. Running your Tesla through a tunnel car wash, subjects it to repeated abrasions, scracthes, sand and other debris that are stuck in the brushes from the car that went through ahead of you that are now running at high rates of speed and slapping into your vehicle. Over time, the repeated use of a car wash fades the look and finish of your vehicle.

Q: What is paint protection film?
A: As listed on our website at TotalDetailingPA.com, PPF aka Paint Protection Film is typically an 8mil thick layer of polyurethane film. This film is stretched over the surface of your vehicle and protects those surfaces from flying particulate, stones, sand and other impact-related debris you will encounter on a daily basis. This is the only source in which to truly protect your Tesla from rock chips, abrasions and scratches.

Q: Is computer cut PPF better?
A: it depends on the vehicle and application. Some vehicles require computer cut kits to be used to achieve optimal results while other vehicles require "bulking" which is a method of taking a single piece of uncut film and stretching it over the vehicle. Computer cut is NOT always best.

Q: What is Ceramic Coating?
A: Ceramic Pro Ceramic Coating is a liquid resin-based product that is applied to the vehicle by hand. It is applied with an applicator in a very precise manner and is not a "chea[" spray product. Ceramic coatings provide amazing chemical resistance, gloss & shine and make keeping your car looking great for longer a total breeze.

Q: Should I get Paint Protection Film and Ceramic Coating?
A: Yes! The combination of Ceramic Coating and Paint Protection Film is currently the golden standard in terms of paint protection. If you want your vehicle's paint to look IMMACULATE - PPF and Ceramic Coating are the way to go.

What is the cost of the ppf applied.
With basic prep. And how long does it take.

I know it varies. Please give a typical number.

Hey Cuttin - the typical PPF full front is between $1800-$2150 depending on who you are having installing it.

To do it right, expect PPF to take 2-3 days, a Minimum of 2. We like to call it 3, just to take our time and have some cushion to make adjustments if needed.

Thanks.

So would the full car be twice as much cost? Is full front 1/2 of the car or more like 1/3?

Won't it look off if it's only on front?

The full car can range from $7000-$12000 depending on the area. Here you can expect in the $8000-$1000 range. Other parts of the car are significantly more difficult to lay film on, such as the rear hatch.

No, you're not going to notice a difference. It just looks like a normal car when. You're standing back from it.
