I picked up my 70D on Saturday. But am having some trunk issues. I close it gently and it appears that its closed. But on the dashboard it still shows open. I have to then open it again and close it with a loud bang. Is that how its supposed to work? Please advise.

If you don't have the auto lift-gate then yes. It requires a bit of force to close. One workaround is to keep a window or pano open. This greatly reduces the amount of force needed to close.

Yep, same here. It hurts me still every time I have to slam that thing shut...
