In every case I've heard of the "abrupt unexpected shift to park while in reverse" it is this butt liftoff issue. Try not lifting your posterior off the seat when you turn around - the easiest way to do so is not to brace your right arm on the passenger seat but keep both arms in front of you. This is actually a better way to backup. My driving instructor many years ago told me that if you brace your arm on the passenger headrest during your driving test it is a 5 point deduction in New York state.

I can't remember when I took that DMV test. So many moons ago. Thanks for the tip

I love mine too, finally took delivery on 7/29. I've had it one week today, and it's just amazing. Almost 400 miles in the first week. I normally put less than 100 miles per week.

Today, I was playing around with it and my neighbor came out to play with my new gadget as well. He was so impressed with the power in the p85, he is seriously deciding to buy one as well.

Ya know, Elon once said in an interview that when they sold one car in a given neighborhood or area, they would then sell several more, presumably just from the word of mouth of the happy owner. I seriously don't doubt this.
