    Good hing the article did not mention the EV1. Then GM would have sounded really whiney.

    They had those things (electric heat, electric A/C, etc.) with the EV1.
    The have electric accessories for their fuel celled vehicles.
    It seems odd that only now do they say that this is slowing them down.

    The GM Volt battery issue begs the question: What happened with Chevron-cobasys and the R&D that went into advancing battery technology?
