Two 94hp micro gas turbines are used as range extenders for 140kW (188bhp) in total.

68 miles range on batteries, 560 miles in total.

You cant have too many threads about a car like this. If this is the future then get a move on!

Imagine the conversation with your mates.

You "It does 0 to 60 in 3.4 seconds using electric motors"

Them "But these electric cars have a crap top speed"

You "Is 205mph enough for you?"#

Them "Bet the batteries go flat after a few miles"

You "When they run low, you just fire up the twin jet engines"....

There is also a sticker on the back saying "Stand Clear of Blast Zone" how cool is that.

How much of this concept will make it into production and are the turbines a viable alternative for an IC motor? What about the niose factor of the turbines? Ok.... I like the overall design.

We'll see. 250 to be made in partnership with Williams F1. It seems that the conventional part of the hybrid setup will be petrol/ICE rather than turbine, but maybe next time ;-)

£700k each (around US$1.2M), since you ask, but it is expected to be a full half-second quicker to 60MPH than the roadster.
