It's just too expensive...they're pricing themselves out of the market. They could have just priced it lower, lost money on it (they make enough money from other models anyway) to promote it's uptake. The other thing that's not helping is that they've designed the car to appeal to traditional Jag buyers rather than use it as a tool to draw new people to the brand. Sad indeed as apart from the range not being great (but doable), and the horrible infotainment system, it's actually a really nice drive.

Jaguar themselves are loosing massive amounts of cash. £3.6bn loss in the last year.
