oh sweet, didn't know that. what's the low profile USB socket you are using? for the cable anything particular?

Just a Belkin mini USB - it basically sits flush with the top of the socket. There are plenty of other brands though. Just make sure whatever you get has at least 2 amps out (at 5v this is 10w) - mine has 2.1A, I think some are up to 3A.

I watched a video about it and the guy said the port on the left was the one meant to have more power,

I did notice that the pad plugged into the left USB port seems slightly more consistent in charging than the right power.

Cheers bro. I eventually bought a cigarette lighter adaptor and will find a way to tidily connect it to the pad(found few videos online). This way I can used the 2 extra ports for joypads
