The latest guest on Autoline Detroit was Jim Press, formerly a big Toyota honcho who is now at the head of Chysler. He talked at some length about their plans to turn the company around. What was conspicuous by its absence was any mention of Chrysler's new "Envi" division, which is supposed to focus on electric cars and hybrids. I see two possible ways to interpret this. 1. Chrysler isn't serious about Envi. It only exists as a token gesture of corporate greenwashing. 2. Chrysler is totally serious about Envi and doesn't want to tip off the competition. You can take your pick.
