Juicebox Pro using Tesla 3 profile - will charge outside of TOU when plugged in

Just recently updated my juicebox app and discovered it applied their own Tesla 3 charging profile which caused the 3 to charge outside of TOU hours. It will charge at 9 A as soon as you plug in the car.

This is what I was told:
"It happens due to implementation of a "special" charging profile for Tesla 3 only. Tesla Model 3 while is in sleep mode is not waking up from J1772 calls to wake up and EV more often than it is and is not accepting the charge. There were a lot of Tesla 3 owners who were complaining about occasionally having no charge at all over a charging session."

I was told to use a different car profile, as Tesla 3 one doesn't work. My main question is why do they even have that profile if they know it doesn't work at all?? (Defeats the purpose of TOU if it always charges at a low amp until Start time) Anyone else encountered this after update of app?

Your Juicebox connects to WIFI?!?! I've had 2 (installed first one mid May, and the second one installed mid July) of them already that have stopped connecting to wifi. Going to a 3rd JuiceBox. Thinking about going with someone else.

That is odd. My JuiceBox Pro 40 has been connected to the home wifi for over a year now. I've seen it rarely disconnect, but never for long so just figured it was doing updates or something. I do have a Google Wifi mesh unit nearby, though, so it has good signal.

Interesting. I opened a case with eMotorWerks before I saw this thread. I first noticed the issue this AM. My vehicle never has issues waking up to charge. Today is the first time I've noticed the issue, and it was because the car kept charging after 9 AM (the end of my TOU period), albeit at 9A. Bizarre. I'll switch the profile, I guess.

More details for the curious:

Agreed... why can't eMotorWerks fix Tesla Model 3 profile. What is the point of having their vehicle there when they tell us to use another car's profile?

If you own a Tesla I will hold off in buying this charger until they fix this huge problem. Maybe lower sales of Juicebox will wake them up.
