Just got notice that my production was pushed back by a week.

I truly believe dates can change based on specific options, including colors selected for seats and headliner. I'll bet that something in the OPs configuration has encountered a slight hiccup in Teslas supply chain -- that either others posters here don't have or unfortunately, the earliest orders in line may see the slight delay, and Tesla suspects they'll have recovery before the further-out orders in line are impacted in the queue, so those have not had any notification of a change in their date...

It's sort of the nature of the beast, and future Tesla owners are a little more vulnerable to seeing some of the minor warts because Tesla is trying to be transparent with providing key target build/ship dates -- just as I did when I tracked my special-ordered MBZ and BMW and sometimes saw shifting dates. I never had a problem like that with multiple special-ordered Lexus over the years, but then, I had zero visibility to target build dates and just waited my "typical 5-7 months" from when I put my deposit down for a call or email once my car had finally arrived or if I was really lucky, was on a ship to California. ;)

VIN 112743. Order confirmed Oct 14. Now expecting delivery mid-to-late December.

Just an FYI for those still in the queue.

How were you notified? I am about 200 ahead of you, and my.tesla still says November - Early December.
Was your my.tesla updated?

Wow, my VIN is only 2 later than yours: 11275. No change here with it still in prod queue and a late Nov, early Dec delivery. What do you have on order?

Looks like I found my neighbors in the queue :) I'll be watching you guys go see how we all progress from here.

I'm vin 114390 and a 90d, confirmed few days ago. The website showed December when I ordered, but I don't see anywhere on the my tesla page where a delivery date is shown after searching high and low. Based on this thread, is a 2015 delivery date pretty much out of the question? If so, I'll want a 2016 vin too, might as well...let me know if your rep accommodates that request...

Given that you are roughly 1500 cars behind me, and my delivery specialist actually expressed a little concern that if things slipped just a bit more he'd have to do some finagling to make sure I get my tax credit this year, I don't think there's even a remote chance you'll be looking at a 2015 delivery.

thats what I'm afraid of. Worst case scenario of later than expected delivery, 2015 vin and waiting until 2017 to get my credit. When did the delivery date show up for you on the my tesla site? My vin appeared almost immediately after the order went firm like 2 days ago but no projected date. Status says entered the production queue.

I just went through this process after having ordered on 9/1 and taking delivery 10/5. My Tesla showed one date and status at a time for me going through the process, so IMHO folks, don't get impatient. My DS seemed to have visibility to more data, or perhaps just a gut feel for projecting actual delivery -- but as I tried to explain a few posts back, if something impacts Tesla's supply chain, dates can and will shift. I know it's discouraging when that happens.

Honestly, I pulled the trigger ordering my MS a month earlier than I really wanted, to give me a bit more buffer hoping I could take delivery in 2015 and therefore receive my Fed Tax Credit back without waiting another year... I wish everyone the best as we come down to 12/31. I'm sure Tesla wants to pump out as many vehicles as they can by end of quarter and fiscal year close, but I suspect all future owners (like I was) want to also take delivery of only exactly their exact configuration with only the highest quality Tesla can deliver.

For those in the queue, if helpful, here's how dates went with my order:
9/1 - Ordered
9/1 - Accepted Online
9/9 - Confirmed; VIN assigned several hours later
9/11 - In Production (my DS told me that clicked over at 9:16PM)
9/20 - (Did not show on My Tesla, but my MS was complete and my DS had it held at the factory for future delivery given my known travel plans at time of order.)
9/25 - In transit from Factory / Production Complete
9/26 - Preparing for Pickup or Delivery (My SC is only 425 miles from the Factory)
9/30 - Payment Section showed as paid in full
10/5 - Delivery (the day I returned from travel; IIRC, it took a couple more days for My Tesla to reflect that, but I wasn't watching as close at that point)
