Kagu Model 3 Mats Available

So got the mats in the 3. First impression is they are nicer than I expected. Nice deep high sides to hold water. Not the quality or fit of a weather tech or Husky, but not as expensive either. I was planning on keeping these until one of the for-mentioned brands become available but I don’t think I’ll need to. Here are some pictures

IMO these are the best looking mats (minus that logo) currently available for the 3. I however prefer the set that came with the car and don’t need any heavy duty or all weather mats for my purpose. My question to those who have these Maxpider mats is in regard to their “sound barrier” claim for a “quieter ride”. Cabin noise is pretty bad. Subjective, know, but do these help to any noticeable degree thereby justifying the expense solely for the purpose of reducing cabin noise?
 
On my morning commute today I could not notice any noise reduction. I will say that they are very similar weight and thickness as well as seem to be a made of a similar foam when compared to the OEM mats. They appear to be water proof but are not rubber like the Husky or weather tech.
