I know that Kennebunk is on the Supercharger map. I drive by the rest area everyday and recently saw some construction with some electrical equipment . Had anyone find any permits? I know there are rirough 8 spots blocked off in the southbound rest area. I can check out the northbound rest are on my way to work tomorrow.
I don't know how work is permitted for Maine Turnpike Authority service plazas. Nothing related in Kennebunk, ME building permits that I can find. They have been published up to March 2018. Building Permits Issued | Kennebunk, ME - Official Website
There was some construction in the North bound plaza as well. It looked to be 8 parking spots with some digging going on. I will try to get a closer look on my way home from work.
This is the only SC I need, I could possibly make the round trip to see my dad but it would be cutting it close, KB is about the halfway point for me.
It looked like there were Supercharger cabinets on the northbound side plaza. It's been a busy week and I have not been able to get any pictures.
It's easy to see from the on and off ramps of the turnpike. I hope to heave time this weekend or next week to take some pictures.
Attached are images of the approximate location of the Superchargers at the plazas. The first image is northbound and the second is southbound.
Isn't that where people walk their dogs and sit outside (picnic tables)? I mention that because people might just park in those spots because it's close to that which might be a pain in the ass.
Drove by the rest areas on my way to work this morning, I saw that iconic white and red that could only mean Tesla Chargers at the Northbound Rest Stop. I will double check on my way back to Portland this evening and update!
Trying. End of the school year is tough. Maybe I can get out early one morning to get pictures. Northbound has trenching and a cement pad for the transformer. There is no super charger hardware. Southbound is further along. The transformer is placed and there are the insides of 8 super chargers. It is further from the on ramp so harder for me to get a look as I drive by.
