i believe the key card is rfid? Anything in my wallet that would make it go bad? Drivers license or credit cards? I had mine behind my driver's license and found it stopped working. Wondering..... The other card works fine so not the car. Thanks

It's RFID. Are you saying your key card completely doesn't work anymore when you put it right up against the reader, or that it only doesn't work when it's in your wallet behind your driver's license? I never remove mine from my wallet and I can use it if I keep it in an outside-facing slot. If I flip the wallet the other way, the car won't through all the other cards in my wallet.

If you're sitting in the car with the UI on the screen where all the key cards and phone keys are listed, when you scan the card on the reader under the arm rest, it that card's description will pop up as "active" on the screen, confirming it still works. If it doesn't, you have a dead card and should contact service about replacing it. As for why it would have died just sitting in your wallet, I have no idea.

There shouldn't be anything that can harm it, nor can it harm. But it generally can't be behind other cars when trying to make it work.

It’s just a small chip and an antenna embedded in the card, so any physical damage to either of those could stop it from working. Could also just be defective. Luckily they’re extremely cheap to replace!
