Key not in car message turned out to be a bad antenna...

Probably seen in the other thread that one of my door handles causes the door to open, so took the car in for it's 6th service visit in 8 months. Gathered a bunch of other little items to provide them when they took care of this issue. One of them was that every once in a while, I would get a key not in car message.

The car has been with them for 2 days as they were booked pretty solid. Just got a call, that they believe they found the issue with the key not in car message and they said 1 of the 4 antennas wasn't working and they are working to replace it.

So just wanted to share with others, that it may not be the battery.

I'm hoping this visit is the last visit before my annual visit in March. As much as I love the customer service, the best service is when you don't need it.

I really think our warranty coverage should be pushed out to 8 years no miles too. :)
