This is too funny: Leo Motors Will Debut Electric Super Car This Year

This is the kind of vehicle they have pictured on their web site: [IMG]

None of the videos I saw had pictures of their new Supercar. I guess it hasn't been shown yet?

I presume this is not the model that does 0-60Mph in 2.9 seconds?

Don't laugh. You probably don't remember the first Toyotas, Hondas and Datsuns to hit the US. They were far more pitiful then the cars you are looking at. Those companies matured and are contenders.

I do remember, actually. To their credit they didn't issue press releases saying they were going to out-accelerate the Corvettes and Shelby Cobras of the time with their very first sports car. And, they didn't say they'd do it within 6 months and yet not have showed any pictures nor demonstrations of their technology.

Competition is good, and more EVs is good. I have no idea if this company is on the level, but more companies making EVs, or even just raising awareness of EVs is a good thing, IMO.

Some of the specs above looked jumbled or messed up in traslation.
"Battery Max Voltage: 33kW/h" must have meant battery capacity for instance.

So much for 6 months. Looks like 180 miles of range?

I'm all for more electric vehicles. This one unlike all the rest of Tesla's competition, at least looks attractive. It appears to have something similar to the Tesla skateboard design. Looks promising and interesting.

I'd like to see the final stats (0-60 time, battery capacity...). I still believe Tesla is way ahead of these guys.

I'd love for there to be more quality EV choices. I've learned to not be excited by renderings and hand built show cars. Bring it to market and lets see.

It is important to remember that someone bringing a car to market to compete with the Roadster is competing with Tesla 2008.
There has been a lot of technology improvement since then, if you can't beat the technology from 4 years ago you shouldn't play in the big leagues.

    Their charger is only 3kwh?
Time for a full charge isn't going to be pretty.
The more EVs the better though:)

That appears to be for overnight slow charging at home.
The specs show 20 minute (presumed DC) quick-charging too.

Wow, the units of measure on that spec sheet are completely bogus! If this car is ever to work, they will need to hire an engineer with at least a high school science education. :scared:
