Largest tire fitment on the 20" Carbon Slipstreams

So today I unintentionally figured out the largest tire I can fit w/o touching the suspension up front. Long story but I had a full set of 265/50/20 Blizzak DM-V2 installed on my 20" wheels as a winter setup and finally got the chance to install them today...rears have plenty of room but the fronts have about 1/4" to spare between the tire and upper control arm. I may still do a 5-8mm spacer up front only to get the wheel away from the suspension a bit more but it's not rubbing anywhere after being taken out a few times today, so it'll be more for piece of mind. I'll take some new pics of the Blizzaks tomorrow (the pics below are 4mo old) but here's some pics of my X when I first got it vs after using some wheel adapters to fit 21" Model Y Uberturbines...I'll make a side-by-side of the stock Continentals vs the Blizzaks for comparison since it's a beefier sidewall than I had expected but it thankfully fit!!

No, the 20" Carbon Slipstreams I had when I bought it are staggered 9/9.5" wheels w/ 265/45/20 fronts and 275/45/20 rears vs the 265/50/20 square tire I'm running now on staggered wheels. I've checked dimensions via the link below and there's no rolling diameter differences even though there's a .5 width difference in the wheels themselves...point being I'm not hurting anything.

I've done the exact opposite on my supercharged F150 in that it's stock 20" wheels are a square setup but I'm running 275/45/20 fronts and 295/45/20 rears...the rears have slightly more sidewall bulge is all.

I don't know how you got your set to work but my set definitely didn't fit. It wasn't even close to clearing the upper control arms. I did the math and 265 50 20 is about an inche taller than the stock size.

It's like 1/4" of gap but it's there. I placed some painters tape on the control arm where it could contact, drive it for a few days and the tape was still there, which is kinda suprising since the sidewall is taller than stock and I can feel them flex compared to when I run the 21" Uberturbines that have way smaller sidewalls. Going on like 3mo now, if not more...I've been waiting to take them off but the weather is bipolar here in Seattle still.

What year is your vehicle? Maybe there was a design change between my '17 P100D and whatever you've got?

Using this website, the difference is a hair over .5", not a full inch. 13.25mm = .52" Mind you the info in that screenshot is front only since the rear has plenty more room back there. There must be some missing variable...maybe your wheels aren't staggered, somehow have a different offset or something else? You're trying this on Slipstreams?
