Latest firmware version for a 1.5 Roadster

My 1.5 just came back from the Burlingame (CA) Service Center after having the 12V switchpack IC board replaced, and I noticed that the invoice also shows this:

Updated firmware version to 3.6.12.17

It was on 3.6.12.12

Anyone else on 3.6.12.17 ?

The Service Advisor did not know what changes were in the latest version.

I presume for the 3.0 comparability and you got it since they just wanted to bring you back up to date with the latest they have. Typically they don't flash older firmware, only the latest.

I thought that might be a possibility. Had not seen anyone else post that they had that firmware version.

I don't think that many people who've had their Roadster's in ever check their firmware revisions... Also with the 3.0 ESS upgrade happening for months, its been very quite as we've seen reporting wise with that technology so not too unusual that the firmware revision update hasn't been disclosed until now. Thanks for the update!

And as usual, with any firmware update I'm sure there were some random bugs/fixes that were addressed in the new update.

It think the fourth component of the version string (17) may not be part of the firmware version, but rather represents an independent version of hardware or something else.

Interesting point. In post #11 you can see supersnoop's forth component of the firmware string bounces around a bit, mine stayed on 12. However his had more firmware updates than mine:

Snip from supersnoop's #11 post:
timestamp, firmware version
04/09/2009 16:07:32, 3.0.15 8
04/09/2009 20:56:35, 3.2.16 12
06/30/2009 13:59:22, 3.3.1 12
10/21/2009 11:22:09, 3.4.13 17
10/21/2009 11:26:40, 3.4.13 12
05/06/2010 17:57:55, 3.4.17 12
01/21/2011 16:27:29, 3.5.18 12
08/14/2012 14:18:19, 3.6.7 12
03/04/2014 18:12:41, 3.6.12 12

A quick clip of mine from a previous post:
timestamp, firmware version
04/15/2009 18:03:25, 3.2.16 12
06/11/2009 09:59:50, 3.3.1 12
10/07/2010 15:59:30, 3.5.18 12
01/26/2012 11:39:54, 3.6.7 12
...

OK, gotta get me one of those. Have you verified the rumored change for cruise control to work down to 25mph?
I believe I tried using the cruise control at that low a speed about a year ago and it would not engage. I have not tried it since. I do routinely use cruise control on the freeway.

Next time I'm in my Roadster I will test the cruise at 25 and let you know.
