Wow, that seems to be actual new news! Well spotted.

Perhaps Obama plans to use it to attack Christie or something. (rather than because he actually just wants to respond to the petition)

Business Insider seems to have terrible taste in selecting what picture to include though.

After New Jersey ban, Tesla Motors fights to keep Ohio sales

The question is, is this really a big deal? Since Elon has already mentioned in his blog entry that,

Some reassurances are also in order. Until at least April 1, everything is business as usual for Tesla in New Jersey. It should also be noted that this regulation deals only with sales, so our service centers will not be affected. Our stores will transition to being galleries, where you can see the car and ask questions of our staff, but we will not be able to discuss price or complete a sale in the store. However, that can still be done at our Manhattan store just over the river in Chelsea or our King of Prussia store near Philadelphia.
Most importantly, even after April 1, you will still be able to order vehicles from New Jersey for delivery in New Jersey on our TeslaMotors.com website.

How ironic - before: You can buy it in the store, almost "like a dealer". After: you can only buy it online, even less like a dealer.

The only thing that might be new is a spokesperson saying that they don't know when they'll respond. It's last year's petition.

A Message to Our Chinese Customers

Not news anymore, 10 days ago, I didn't put this up because I didn't think there is anything new, until Mark's Legco video came up.

This page has become an crucial piece of information in arguing the ignorant point that citizens from the PRC will come to Hong Kong to buy their Model S. For one thing, China is LHD whereas Hong Kong is RHD, plus the servicing issue.

I wonder what prompted them to make that statement. Are there people trying to import/smuggle Teslas from HK to mainland? Or are these just scammers pretending to sell Teslas? Hopefully people who are interested will do their homework about the Tesla sales model before agreeing to buy anything from a 3rd party...

this may be pointing at the used model S getting imported from US
