I guess they reached capacity with the flood of emails that went out this morning. Sometime between my email arriving around 8 am PST and trying to RSVP around 1030 it filled up.

I didn't get an invite and I am just over 20k in line (although may have gone to the wife's email and she never said anything). I saw in another thread where someone 17k in line got an invite so a lot were sent out.

Don't know the rhyme or reason for the invites. Mine came this morning, and I was able to RSVP before the cutoff. P9000+ Reservation, and only one of a few MX reservations that I can see in Georgia. Feeling fortunate.

The rhyme and reason is as follows:

On 9/21 signature reservations holders (and some Model S Sig Owners with Model X production reservations) who have not opted out of marketing communications received an invite
On 9/24 all reservation holders who have not opted out of marketing communications received an invite

Everyone who either A) Opted out of marketing communications (possibly unknowingly or they don't remember doing it) or B) don't have a Model X reservation, did not get an invite.

Why can't they have it in a stadium and pull in some 10,000 people? Have the founders in the front row with the Sigs right behind and have the productions seated a little further. Make it a big media event...

Know a place where they can rent a stadium for free (or the same cost as having it in their own building)?

The Silverdome in Detroit would be pretty cheap...

LOL. Tesla should debut their new vehicle in a city that houses the three largest auto manufacturers in the country and a state where Tesla sales are banned? I don't think anyone could pay Tesla enough to make that happen let alone giving away the space for free.

Plus, the roof of the Silverdome is either down or off right now.

Okay, maybe not right now... but it was two minutes ago when I walked out in the parking lot of my office.

The roof has been gone for the past couple years after it broke during winter and wasn't economical to repair. The previous owners basically sold off everything of value then left the building to rot.

Tesla got a huge factory real cheap, maybe they need a stadium? plan ahead for something? What would/could it be? Start a new thread? Ok, I've really got to go back to work.

Bummer. I am # 398, But apparently even though I checked the bock on my profile that I wanted Tesla to send me Updates the fact that I did not state a preference for email or text is considered an opt out by their systems.
