Explosion Rocks SpaceX Launch Site in Florida During Test
"NASA says SpaceX was conducting a test firing of its unmanned rocket when the blast occurred Thursday morning. The test, considered routine, was in advance of a planned Saturday launch from Cape Canaveral Air Force Station."
Apparently multiple explosions followed over several minutes.

No the first "flight proven" launch is SES 10 in a few months. This would have been a brand new rocket.

It's been reported that they planned to reuse a rocket for the Amos 6 launch, but no word (yet) as to whether that's the one that has exploded.
Breaking news says that explosion occurred during an engine test.

That's what it looks like to me - Maybe it's a pad explosion and not the rocket itself.
I've seen a claim the satellite wasn't on the rocket. Seems a bit late in the campaign to be integrating that after this test.
