Lease car - How to charge Supercharger just right after picking up the car.

Next week Im picking up my lease car. As far as I know I won't be able to use the app until the lease company grant me access to the app, so it can take several days. So, I was wondering how can I charge in the superchargers if no credit card is linked to the car or account?

I've been trying to find out this information but no success..

I think the credit card can be added through the web site. Add it to your profile beforehand. You shouldn't need the mobile app for charging.

It seems the car doesn't show up in my account neither. There is no way to let the supercharger know the link between the car and my account, until the lease company add me as a main driver which normally takes several days.

...then maybe it'S linked with their account until it's transferred to yours and supercharger works, paid by them? You might want to ask them.

Two options.

#1 -- You could get a pre-paid card with $50 (or however much you'll need to cover supercharging until you can put the car on your Tesla account) on it and have the leasing company transfer the card associated with that vehicle to the prepaid card. This ensures you'll be able to charge and protects you against being burned for more than $50 if they try to use the card info.

#2 -- Arrange with the leasing co. that you will reimburse them for supercharging fees incurred until the vehicle is attached to your own account. This requires them to trust you.
