Lease transfer 2016 P90D, 8 months remain, $908 base payment

The situation:
I am relocating to Virginia for work, which is notoriously bad for leases, transfers, and expensive cars. I’d like to find this car a good home for someone who wants to have some ridiculously cheap fun for ~8 months or so. No down payment required, You'll need to cover credit check and transfer fee.

The lease:
Original lease was a 10k / year, 2 year lease
8 payments remaining, 908.66 base payment, 994.98 with AR tax.
Next payment is January 15
Maximum lease mileage at maturity is 24416
Lease maturity is 9/15/17
8175 miles remaining as of posting
Purchase price / residual value at the end of the lease is 84329.50

Full disclosure: This car is flawless except for a small mark on the rear bumper (in white circle in pictures). This will be no cost at the end of a lease.
Some rim rash on one wheel, and slight chip on another. No accidents.

Welcome to VA! Love that color. Are you referring to the annual personal property taxes? They vary from county to county. In my county, if you purchase/register/transfer it in after Feb they will not send you a bill this year.

Hey, we are in Blacksburg VA. 2015 Model S. insurance is much less than Florida. Registration was much less also. There is a local personal property tax in Blacksburg. I can get you specifics if you are interested. There is also a great SC network in VA, and up and down east coast.

Just in case it was not clear, this car is in Northwest Arkansas (hence the AR tax rate / payment)

If this is a Tesla Finance lease, they won’t permit a transfer in the last 12 months.

Has to have 12 months remaining on lease and 1 assumption per lease. I've run into this trying to take over a lease before on short terms.

If there's a way around it or they bend on the rules that'd be awesome. Hopefully they do but I have to had luck in the past

Per deaddog, he is correct unfortunately. It's within 12 months of lease end and cannot be transferred per the contract. I will check if there’s any wiggle room in this.
