Left Scroll Wheel No Longer Switches Between Radio Presets After Update

After the last software update, my left scroll wheel no longer switches between my radio presets. Instead, it switches the input to Spotify, and then just controls track up and down. The only way to switch between radio presets is to use the touch screen. I rebooted the screen to no avail.

Is anyone else seeing this?

I think I did notice this, yes. I don't normally listen to the Radio, but when Spotify was down earlier this week I turned on the radio just to get some music playing. Since I don't use it much I only had one "saved" station but when I pushed the left scroll wheel it changed to another music source instead of going to the next station. Again, I'm not super familiar with how the steering wheel buttons control the Radio in the Tesla but it did seem broken to me.

This broken FM interface feature is unacceptable. It takes the drivers eyes off the road to select a different station. Total step backward!

My better half was driving his 2018 Model 3 LR RWD this morning and he noticed it too. 2022.16.2. I hope they fix it. Will have to try it on my car later on today (but he has Spotify, I don't). Wonder if that makes a difference...

Software version 2022.16.1.2 on my Model 3 Performance stopped the scroll wheel from toggling through Favorite radio stations.

Same here and a buddy if mine as well. Only workaround I could figure out was turning off all of the sources except for Radio. Hope there is quick fix, what a weird thing for them to screw up.

I did a bit of testing with this and found out that if you have NO Radio favorites then toggling the left scroll button switches between radio stations. However, if you have any Radio stations saved then the left scroll button changes music sources away from Radio, not between favorites.

I'm almost positive this wasn't the way it worked when I first got the car back in 2020. I'm not sure when it changed but it seems to be broken in 2022.16.1.2.

I have the same issue since an update yesterday. I noticed that if you have no favorite songs in Spotify then the radio scrolling is fine.

I thought I was going crazy! It keeps switching to Spotify baby white noise instead of the next favorite FM station. I hope they fix it soon!

Almost every time they do a software update, I have to reset all of my favorites because the scroll buttons on the left side of my Model S steering wheel no longer scroll through the favorites. When I would reset the favorites it would work fine. After this most recent update a few days ago, the left scroll buttons don't appear to do anything.

After most recent update my scroll wheel won't change channels in radio favorties list. I reset the screen but that did not help. Over the car has so many glitches. It's frustrating.

Looks like Tesla fixed the problem with 2022.16.3. I don’t have this problem anymore after I updated the software today.

Not only did they fix it, they actually improved it. When you get to the end of your radio presets, it now loops back around to the start of the presets, rather than switching to the next media source. Well done!
