Presumably, it will work like Navigate on Autopilot where you have to have an address in the navigation. So the car uses the nav directions to know how to turn. So the car will make turns to follow the nav directions to get to your destination.

On the order page, when you select FSD, there is the list of FSD features. Under "upcoming", Tesla recently changed "automatic driving on city streets" to now say "autosteer on city streets":
