The final cut of the 9th episode of the Tesla Motors Club Podcast, featuring Chad Schwitters, the former president of Plug In America, is now available. You can watch it now on YouTube or listen to it on all major podcast networks.
Does look nice on the black nosecone, but honestly I was never a fan. I prefer the newer blue on white. Those old ones look like they were made with a Dymo label maker to me. Same with New York. I like the white plate as opposed to the orange.
Call me an old fuddy-duddy, but the gold paint on the black license plates that were issued from '63-'70 look cool on cars manufactured in those years. We still have our 1967 Cougar with the original plates. But on a car manufactured nearly 50 years later those plates just seem incongruous. You should have opted for the '56 series with black paint on the gold background!
You are allowed three choices and "85 KWH" was my first, but apparently somebody already has that.
Some license must be used when reading license plates.

Got mine about a month ago. Same reasoning. It looks better to me than the white plates on a dark green car.
Many compliments so far from complete strangers.
Again, the black plate was chosen to lessen the visual impact. Black on black nose.
They would not even seem "old" if you were not an old California native.
You guys probably don't like my wide whites either.
((Just kidding here))

Larry, it looks great! I finally got my registration and just installed my black legacy plates on my Pearl White. I am having some satin black vinyl done on Monday but hopefully on Tuesday I'll post some pics!
